At Bemis Family Dental we want our patients to be proud of their smile and feel confident when they are around others. Our office provides patients with many cosmetic and restorative options. Full mouth reconstructions are necessary when we need to rebuild or replace all of the teeth in a patient’s mouth. This reconstructive procedure helps to improve the function and health of the mouth, giving patients a beautiful smile.
Who is a good candidate for Full Mouth Reconstruction?
If you have had multiple dental problems such as multiple missing teeth, teeth with numerous large fillings, or teeth that are decayed, cracked, or broken, you may be a good candidate. Other genetic conditions may warrant reconstruction such as Ectodermal Dysplasia, Amelogenesis or Dentinogenisis Imperfecta.
What treatment is involved in a Full Mouth Reconstruction?
Full mouth reconstruction involves any combination of general or restorative procedures. We evaluate each patient, and discuss a customized treatment plan for their full mouth reconstruction. Digital x-rays will be taken and we will discuss all of your goals to determine the right treatment for you. Examples of procedures done with full mouth reconstruction include inlays, onlays, crowns, bridges, fillings, implants, or dentures.
Benefits of Full Mouth Reconstruction:
- Restores ability to speak and eat normally.
- Restores facial appearance and structure to fix a sagging mouth or jaw
- Replace missing or restore damaged teeth giving patients confidence
- Restores a patient’s bite to prevent bruxism or temporomandibular joint disorder or TMJ.
